After developing the concept for the game, we collaborated to explore how the physical object would resolve. Positioning wood and metal in contrast to one and other.

Initially, my designs were direct re-creations of the object itself and relied on bright colours.

However, this approach felt clinical. Distracting from the object as opposed to enhancing its presence.

Refining

So I began to explore softer colours and more abstract representations of the object.

Final Approach

The final approach utilised a softer pallete, seeking to augment the game without dominating it.
